General Terms – Plant and Equipment Hire

  1. Our terms are strictly net – receipt of payment being required by the end of the month following date of invoice.
  2. We shall be pleased to open a credit account on the provision of satisfactory bank references etc.
  3. All hire rates exclude VAT, which is an additional charge.
  4. A minimum charge of £5.00 applies on all hires.
  5. The cleaning of any plant returned will be charged at cost
  6. Unless otherwise agreed in writing the Hirer is responsible for insuring against liabilities as set out in the “Hire Agreement”.
  7. All plant offered at a weekly rate is based on a 5 day – 40 hour week.
  8. Damage is chargeable to the Hirer’s account – fair wear and tear excepted. Repair of punctures is the Hirers responsibility.
  9. Missing items are charged at full replacement cost, and the Hirer will be responsible at 2/3rds rate until the account is settled.
  10. The Hirer is responsible for all fuels – water – grease – oils.
  11. Transport to and from the site is chargeable as an extra.
  12. All hire rates and minimum periods of hire are subject to alteration without prior notice.
  13. Acceptance of the plant on site implies acceptance of all CPA terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  14. End of the hire period: On completion of the hire all plant must be off-hired by contacting the plant office at the relevant hiring depot, and a unique off-hire number will be provided on request.
