Your Responsibility

Please ensure you understand your responsibilities, liabilities and charges before agreeing/signing for any hire.

All charges quoted are excluding VAT. Please ensure you understand all your charges prior to signing any contract.

Acceptance of the plant on site implies acceptance of all CPA terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing Terms and Conditions – Coppard Plant Hire Ltd .

End of the hire period: On completion of the hire all plant must be off-hired by contacting the plant office at the relevant hiring depot and a unique off-hire number will be provided on request.

Transport Charges

Delivery and collection charges apply to plant, The price will vary depending on distance from depot and the size and amount of plant hired.

Fuel Charges

Plant is supplied with full of fuel you are not obliged to return the fuel tanks full.
Petrol used is charged at £2.20 per litre plus VAT or £2.64 inc. VAT.
Two Stroke Petrol used is charged at £2.20 per litre plus VAT or £2.64 inc. VAT.
White Diesel used is charged at £2.20 per litre plus VAT or £2.64 inc. VAT.
The charges for fuel may change due to market volatility in prices.

Cleaning Charges

Cleaning Charges will only apply if plant is returned excessively dirty. Cleaning charges are charged at £50 per hour. A minimum £25 excess cleaning charge is applied which will cover up to 30 minutes of cleaning.
Examples: Excess of mud on tracks. Concrete, mud or debris left in or on mixers or skips, paint or oil contamination.

Wear Charges

Wear charges will vary depending on the plant, but generally it is charged per mm, per tooth or pick. Please see the product listing on the website for current wear charges.
Example: minimum wear charges would be Wood Chippers minimum Charge £20.00 + VAT. Stump Grinders minimum charge £30.00 Plus VAT.

Damage Charges

If damage charges apply to plant, charges are as follows:
Workshop charges are £95.00 per hour plus VAT.
Callouts are charged at £110.00 per hour plus VAT.
Parts and 3rd party charges; charged at RRP.
Office time is charged at a rate of £60.00 per hour plus VAT.

Damage / Loss Waiver (Insurance) This waiver must be agreed in writing from Coppard Plant Hire Ltd before the commencement of any hire to be enforce if this waiver is enforce the below underlying agreement will be printed on all delivery / on hire notes that the waiver applies to.

A temporary waiver agreement against damage and loss is available through Coppard Plant Hire Ltd. This waiver is charged at +25% of the hire charge and is subject to certain security checks.

UNDERLYING AGREEMENT

The basis of our contract with you is a hire contract under these conditions: The Construction Plant-hire Association Model

Conditions 2011 including any supplementary conditions thereto Terms and Conditions – Coppard Plant Hire Ltd.

WAIVER AGREEMENT

 We have agreed with you that these conditions will be varied by this Waiver Agreement under which you are relieved of your

responsibility to us for loss or damage to goods hired to you; subject to the terms specified below.

WAIVER TERMS

Loss or damage Excess: 5000 pounds

Exclusions: You are responsible for:

Any loss from a single cause in excess of 70,000 pounds and/or in excess of 50,000 pounds in respect of any single item.

Loss or damage to attachments (cutting edges tools trailing cables or flexible pipes) other than the total loss of the complete item.

Loss or damage caused by or arising out of materials treated by the Plant or by foreign bodies entering the plant with such materials.

Loss of the equipment by its disappearance or by shortage if such disappearance or shortage is only revealed when an  inventory is made of the loss
of the equipment due to its being stolen or otherwise missing unless such loss is identifiable with a specific occurance which has been the subject of notification to Coppard Plant Hire Ltd and  your reporting of the matter to the Police.

Loss or damage arising out of any raising or lowering operations in which a single load is shared between items of lifting and handling plant unless such operations are carried out in accordance with British Standard Code of Practice for the safe use of cranes – BS7121.

Loss or damage caused by your wilful act or wilful neglect.

Loss or damage arising outside of the United Kingdom.

Loss or damage during transit by air or by sea (except roll-on roll-off ferry).

Loss due to, or exaggerated by, fraud, by you or on your behalf.

Loss or damage if the property is hired to you by another hirer (unless declared and agreed in advance).

Continuing Hire Charges as may be included in the underlying agreement, for any period before your report to us of loss or damage.

CONDITIONS

You must take all reasonable measures to protect the property hired to you and must be kept in a locked compound when not in use and to ensure that all statutory and other regulations relating to the plant are observed where it is your responsibility under the terms of the underlying hire agreement.

Any theft must be reported to the police immediately and the crime reference number recorded.

Any loss or damage must be reported to us as soon as reasonably practical and in any event within 7 (seven) days of the event.
